You know that feeling when you see someone's art project or design and all you can think is "I wonder how long it took them to make that?" After watching the Harry Potter last night, I am in awe of how breathtaking it was. Every detail is so beautiful and exact and completely more than you could have ever expected. The team that produces these films just keep getting better. CGI has never looked so elegant and captivating. Even the acting this time around was better than ever and I am so whole-heartedly convinced by their characters. Did everyone notice how superb the costume design was?? McGonagals's sharp shouldered robes, Luna Lovegood's holiday dress, the twins' emerald dresses at the Slughorn party, Malfoy's slim fit black suits, Narcissa Malfoy's Daphne Guinness-esque skunk stripe hair, Slughorn's layered tartans and plaids, and I swear Bellatrix LeStrange was wearing a Pamela Love necklace. It was all so much to look at and so beautifully rendered and a true masterpiece.
