- current read -

A perk to the book - the completely understated design, which is boring and a bit pretentious. However, the B&W image selection adds a really unexpected sense of dry humor.

Beauty exists only in struggle.
There is no masterpiece that has not an aggressive character. Poetry must be a violent assault on the forces of the unknown, to force them to bow before man.

infinite

My understanding of infinity goes something like this: every 100 years a sparrow flies to the top of a large mountain, and cleans its beak by scraping it on the highest rock. By the time the mountain has been scraped away to a small pile of dust, that would be the equivalent of the first second of infinity.

When a man has died, he wants you to know about it

I'm the kind of person who really loves paranormal possessions. Perhaps it helps me face my own demons -pun intended- on a certain level. A dark comedy worth seeing. Diablo Cody does a pretty decent job reinventing the chick gone demon scenario. The creepy smile, bloody teeth, and primal growl come off beautifully. And I think I've finally been convinced of Megan Fox's absolute undeniable sex appeal.

I know this video is old - but it is amazing every time I watch it. I was lucky enough to see Chris Bangle's lecture in Copenhagen during Copenhagen Design Week. One of those ah-ha! moments as a designer - when you realize that design is worth so much more than we usually make of it.
